Makes his return to the John Carroll program as a coaching intern for the Blue Streaks offense, specifically with the receivers. He originally attended John Carroll from 2003-05 before finishing up his degree at Kent State University.
He previously was an assistant coach at Lakewood (OH) High School before accepting a position at Dordt (IA) College, where he coached receivers and special teams. He also aided in recruiting efforts.
Following his tenure at Dordt, he moved on to Carroll (WI) University in 2009, where he coached the receivers and special teams units for two seasons. He also was the Director of Player and Program Development at Carroll.
Hyland also earned his Master's of Education degree from Carroll College in May of 2011.
