Phil Bokovitz enters his second season with the JCU staff after a prolific career as an offensive lineman for the Blue Streaks.

He was a four-year starter and played in 36 games for John Carroll on the offensive line from 2007-2010. After his senior season in 2010, he was named to the first team All-OAC, second team All-Ohio and third team All-Great Lakes Region after transitioning from tackle to guard.

He anchored an offensive line that helped JCU  finish second in the OAC in rushing yards in 2010. He also spent three years on Unity Council.

Phil was selected to represent John Carroll in the Ohio National Guard’s North vs. South Senior Bowl and also the Tazon de Estrellas (Bowl of the Stars) in Mexico City, Mexico.

After graduating from John Carroll, Phil spent a season coaching at Eastlake North High School, where the team finished the season with an 8-2 record.

Bokovitz graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education in 2011, and is working on his Master's in School Counseling.
