                        Coming back for his final season as a Blue Streak, he looks to continue where he left off in 2010 ... He has taken the role of the blocking back in the JCU offense and can do some damage when given the ball ... Also an impact player on special teams units, he has 19 career tackles.
2010
Started all ten games for the Blue Streaks ... Carried the ball 30 times for a total of 140 yards on the year ... Added two touchdowns and seven tackles on the special teams units ... Had his best game of the year against Muskingum (10/16/10) where he carried the ball seven times for 42 yards, breaking off his longest run of the year at 25 yards, and added a touchdown.
2009
Played in nine games for John Carroll … Returned kicks in addition to his time logged as a fullback … Recorded five solo tackles and three assisted tackles on the season in 2009 on the special teams coverage units for his second varsity letter.
2008
One of only three freshmen to letter for the Blue Streaks in the 2008 season ... Logged his first collegiate carry and gained six yards on the attempt against Marietta (10/11/08).
2007
Came to John Carroll after spending one year at the University of Akron -- but did not play football there.
High School
Was an accomplished football player and wrestler for Olmsted Falls (OH) High School, where he graduated in 2007.

Achieved Eagle Scout status in the Boy Scouts of America ... Majoring in Exercise Science ... Solid student, carries a 3.02 GPA at John Carroll ... Son of Ray and Roseanne Castro.
