2011
The Senior recieved multiple honors after a record-breaking year...O'Brien haulled in First Team All-OAC honors as well as the Bob Packard Award for Most Outstanding Offensive Back...He is just the third Blue Streak to recieve All-OAC honors...O'Brien was second in the conference with 263.1 yards per game and third in Touchdowns with 15...O'Brien finished 8th All-Time for JCU for 11 rushing TDs in a single season...This season, he broke all but two of his previous set records...Was awarded OAC Offensive Player of the Week twice in October after beating Otterbein in OT and Capital late in the year.

2010
Saw time in all ten games for the Blue Streaks, but became the starter in the fifth game after an injury to Locke ... On the season, he tallied 127 rushes for a total of 715 yards and six touchdowns ... He did more than just run the ball for the offense; he completed 72-of-124 passes this season ... With the 72 completions, he totaled 1036 yards passing yards and nine touchdowns through the air as a junior ... His best game came against Capital (10/30/10) where he ran the ball 21 times for 175 yards and a touchdown ... He also passed the ball 16 times, completing ten for 157 yards and three passing touchdowns ... Was awarded OAC Offensive Player of the Week twice in 2010.

2009
Was the emergency starter in game one of the 2009 campaign when scheduled starter Jeff Javorek was scratched late with an injury ... Made an impressive debut by completing 20-34 passes and throwing for 163 yards against an eventual NCAA Division III playoff team (Thomas More) … His longest pass that day was 21 yards (9/5/09).

2008
Saw action for JCU on the junior varsity team as a freshman.

Was the starting quarterback in the 2007 season for the Brookfield (OH) High School team ... Earned All-County accolades.
