John Stavole

John Stavole begins his eighth season as an assistant coach with the John Carroll men's basketball program.

A 1958 graduate of John Carroll, John Stavole had a Hall of Fame career as a basketball player with the Blue Streaks.  He averaged 20.1 points per game during his junior and senior seasons while playing against major colleges such as Xavier, Loyola, Detroit, Kent State and Toledo.

As a high school basketball head coach, Stavole guided Parma Valley Forge to a state Final Four in 1988, a state quarterfinal in 1997, five regionals and three conference titles in his tenure.  He was the Cuyahoga County Coach of the Year as selected by both the Cleveland Plain Dealer and the Greater Cleveland Basketball Coaches Association in 1992.

Stavole is a member of three Athletic Hall of Fames -- John Carroll University, St. Ignatius High School and the Parma Athletic Federation.
