Beth Andrews '15 enters her sixth season at the helm of the John Carroll Women's Basketball program in the 2025-26 academic year.

Andrews was named the program's 13th head coach in its 50-year history in November 2020. In her first season, Andrews led the team to a 13-2 record, the OAC Regular Season Championship and the OAC Tournament Championship. After Andrews impressive efforts, she was selected as the 2021 OAC Coach of the Year.

In her second season, Andrews steered the Blue Streaks to a second straight OAC Regular Season Championship. The Blue Streaks earned a bid to the NCAA Tournament and reached the second round. Under her direction, Olivia Nagy and Nicole Heffington were All-Americans, and set a host of program records while becoming JCU's first same-sport duo to be CoSIDA Academic All-Americans in the same season.

In her third season, Andrews guided John Carroll to a 13-13 campaign, including a home upset of #11/12 Baldwin Wallace in the penultimate game of the regular season. The Blue Streaks made the OAC Tournament for a sixth straight season.

In her fourth campaign, Andrews again led the Blue Streaks to a 13-13 record. The Blue & Gold returned to the OAC Tournament for a seventh straight season.

In her fifth season, Andrews steered JCU to a 19-7 record with a 13-5 conference record. The Blue Streaks returned to the OAC Tournament once again. JCU notched 3 All-OAC and 7 Academic All-OAC selections.

Andrews previously served as an assistant coach for the Blue Streaks for two seasons. In 2018-19, JCU Women's Basketball won regular season and postseason OAC Championships, reaching the NCAA Tournament. In 2019-20, the Blue Streaks reached the OAC Tournament Championship.

Prior to being a coach for the Blue Streaks, Andrews (nee Switzler) was a four-year student-athlete at John Carroll from 2011 to 2015. She was a key component of the JCU roster during her career, helping the Blue and Gold to two NCAA tournament appearances. Through her four seasons, Andrews recorded over 1,100 career points and became the program record holder for offensive rebounds (338). She was also named a second team all-conference selection in 2015.

After graduation, Andrews got her first experience coaching, holding positions at Mentor Lake Catholic High School in addition to having a stint as a head coach at multiple levels with TNBA as a part of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU).

Andrews currently resides in Willowick, Ohio with her husband, Jordan, and their three children.

A May 2015 JCU graduate, Andrews earned her bachelor’s degree, majoring in exercise science. She also obtained a master’s degree in sports management from Cleveland State University in 2017.
