John Carroll University Athletics

Sherrie Session completes her third season for the John Carroll women's basketball team. This season being her first as an assistant coach, her first two years were spent as the team's graduate assistant.

Session joins John Carroll after serving last season as a coach for Marlborough School in Los Angeles, California. She also spent time as a coach and trainer at the 2015 Nike Jr. Drew League, working with top youth players on the west coast.

She graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 2012, playing four years for the Rams, including a year as team captain in 2011-12. Upon graduation, she took an assistant coaching position with Hope International University. She honed her recruiting and strength and conditioning skills for the Royals.

Session decided to continue her basketball career in 2013, playing a season in Pully, Switzerland. She averaged 16 ppg, 7 rpg and 2 spg during the 2013-14 season, and took time off-the-court to teach young girls the game.
