John Carroll University Athletics

Stephanie Dowd returns for her fourth season as an assistant coach for the John Carroll women's basketball team. In the previous two seasons, Dowd served as a graduate assistant for Kristie Maravelli and the JCU program.

Dowd graduated from Marietta College, where she was a two-year captain of the Pioneers women's basketball team, playing from 2005 to 2008. She was later the women's basketball office assistant at Marietta where she helped with scheduling, budgeting, recruitment and other daily tasks.

An intern for the Lake County Captains in the summer of 2007, Dowd worked in the promotions department where she helped coordinate on-field entertainment. She also interned at the Lake County Department of Utilities in 2006 and 2007.

She received a Bachelor's Degree in Advertising/Public Relations with a Sports Management minor. Also at Marietta, Dowd was co-writer and creator of "In Our Territory," a weekly fall sports publication.
