Placed in the top ten of the Sudeck Invitational (9/2/16) with a time of 15:58.0, good for 6th place overall ... She placed 106th at the All Ohio XC Championships and ran a 12 second personal best time in the 6k (23:37) at the Rowan University Border Battle ... She achieved a PR at the OAC Championship in 23:28.7, good for 22nd ... Ended her season at the NCAA DIII Great Lakes Region XC Championship in 99th place.
2016 Outdoor
Smith had an incredible season, ending with three personal records ... At the Dave Labor Invite, she gained her first PR of thr season, running an almost two minute faster time in the 5k, placing 6th (19:45.57) ... The next week at the Mount Union - Homon Open, she ran a personal best in the 1500 (4:57.31), good for 10th ... At the OAC Outdoor Championships, Christine placed 12th in the 1500m and then went on to PR in the 3000m Steeple, crossing the line in 5th with a time of 11:38.71.Â
2015-16 Indoor
At the Joe Banks Invite, Smith achieved a personal record in the 3k (11:00.21), placing 10th with a 35 second improvment from the last indoor season ... Then at the DIII All Ohio Indoor Championships, her team placed 7th in the DMR (12:56.91) and she finished the 3k in 14th place ... She completed the DMR at the OAC Indoor Championship in 4th and also finished her first 1k in 3:11.66, placing 9th.
2015 Cross Country
She competed in three races this season, her best race coming at the Oberlin College Inter-Regional Rumble where she crossed the line in 23:49.5 in the 6k, placing 126th ... That was a 75 second improvment from the previous year! ... She also finished in 25:20.4Â at the All Ohio XC Championships and in 52nd at the OAC Championships.
2015 Outdoor
At the opening race, the Muskingum - Amy Adams Memorial, she ran her first 2000m Steeple, finishing in 4th in a time of 8:22.25 ... Smith finished the 3000 Steeple in 13:24.5, placing 22nd at the DIII All Ohio Outdoor Championship ... Then at the OAC Championships, she had her season best time in the 3000 Steeple (12:51.44), finshing in the top 10.
2014-15 Indoor
Competed in nine events at eight meets ... Had her best race at the 2015 Greater Cleveland College Championship, where she not only won, but also ran a personal best time (5:33.47) in the mile ... At the OAC Indoor Championship, Christine placed 13th in the mile, just five seconds off her PR.
2014 Cross Country
Made five starts on the year ... Finished 75th at the OAC Championships navigating the 6k course at 27:35.82 ... Placed 85th at the All-Ohio Championship.
2014 Outdoor
Only outdoor appearance was at the Charlotte 49er Classic ... Helped the 4x400 relay to an 11th-place showing in a meet that included Division I and Division II institutions ... Also ran in the 400m and 800m.
2013-14 Indoor
Captured runner-up honors in the 500m at the Great Cleveland College Championship crossing at 1:27.79 ... Finished at 1:28.42 to take runner-up honors in 500m at BW Mid-January Meet ... Finished fourth in 500m and 4x400 relay at BW Mid-February Meet ... Part of 4x400 relay at BW Mid-January Meet who captured fifth.
