Daniel Tutskey enters his fifth season with the John Carroll University Track & Field and Cross Country programs in the 2024-25 academic year. Tutskey was promoted to Director of Cross Country and Track and Field in August 2024.

During the 2023-24 season alone, Tutskey guided his athletes to achieve 19 All-American honors, 26 All-OAC awards, 21 All-Region distinctions, 10 school records, and 7 OAC Championships.

During the 2022-23 indoor track season, Tutskey was named the USTFCCCA Great Lakes Region Men's Assistant Coach of the Year.

Tutskey previously spent stints as head track & field coach at Ursuline College (2015-19), assistant women's track and field coach at North Central College (2012-15), assistant coach at Plainfield East High School (2008-12), and assistant coach at Augustana College (2004-08).

Competed at The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse
Captain of 2001 team that won the NCAA Division III National Championship (Indoor and Outdoor).

Anchored the 4x100m relay to victory at the Drake Relays
Qualified for the USA Track & Field (USATF) Outdoor Championships in the 100m dash in 2002 and 2003.
Qualified for the USTAF Indoor Championships in the 60m dash in 2006
Ranked 48^th in the United States in the 100m dash in 2003 with a time of 10.34 seconds
Ranked 127^th in the world in the 100m dash in 2002 with a time of 10.30 seconds

Graduated from Wisconsin La Crosse in 2003 with a degree in Recreation Management
Earned a Master’s Degree from North Central College in Sports Leadership Studies
