Fuelling graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2013, where he was a part of the cross country/track & field program as a student-athlete, which led to him earning his master’s degree from Boise State University from 2016-2018 as an assistant coach.

He gained Division I coaching experience at both Temple and the University of Illinois, as well as Boise State. After spending three seasons at Academy of Art, Fuelling was named to the coaching staff at the University of San Francisco in August 2021. Fuelling elevated his runners to compete at the NCAA 1st Round Championships in track & field, as well as racing to multiple First-Team All WCC Cross Country honors.

Steve has coached for 11 years at both the NCAA Division I and II levels.
