Jessica Bruns enters her third year as an assistant coach for the Blue Streaks. The previous two seasons she served as the team's graduate assistant.
At John Carroll Bruns assists with practices, meets, recruiting and administrative duties. Nine student-athletes earned All-OAC honors under her watch during the 2013-14 season.
On the club circuit, Bruns coached the Oakwood Dolphins to five straight MVSA Championship from 2007-11 including two as the club’s head coach. Additionally, Bruns coached the PAC Piranhas in Dayton from 2004-06 joining the coaching ranks at the age of 14.
In the water, Bruns was a four year swimmer in high school and was a Dayton Area High School Athlete of the Week honoree.
Bruns, a 2011 graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration will graduated in May with a Master’s in communication management with a focus in Health Communications.
