Maria Eidam '21G enters her third season with JCU Swimming & Diving in 2022-23, her first as an assistant coach. She previously served as the graduate assistant from 2019-21.
In both of her seasons as the graduate assistant with the Blue Streaks, John Carroll won the Ohio Athletic Conference Championship (in 2020 and 2021). During her second season, Eidam helped the Blue Streaks break a myriad of records.
She was the assistant coach for three years in her hometown of Twinsburg, Ohio for Twinsburg High School. While in this position, she helped the team send the most district qualifiers in school history to the Northeast Ohio District meet. Maria also took part in coaching seven new school record holders in her time as assistant coach. She received further experience as an assistant coach for four years for the Twinsburg Competitive Aquatics Team (TCAT).
Eidam earned a Bachelors Degree in Sport Management at the University of Akron. While at Akron, she swam on the varsity team for all four years earning a spot on the 2014 and 2015 Mid-American Conference Championship teams.
Maria Eidam is a former Aquatic Coordinator who earned her Masters in Business Administration at John Carroll in 2021.
