Emily Mazzaferri

Emily Mazzaferri, a four-time All-American from the University of Mount Union, has been named one of the new graduate assistants for the track and field and cross country programs..

On the track for Mount Union, Mazzaferri ended her career with fourteen All-OAC Honors, and as a four time All-American and four time Academic-All-American in Division III.  In her 2012 indoor season, Mazzaferri placed sixth in the 800 meters and fourth in the 4x400 meter relay. That outdoor season, the 4x400 meter relay took another fourth place while the women’s team as a whole placed third as a team—the highest finish in school history.  In her indoor 2013 season, Mazzaferri helped her 4x400 relay team place third in the event.  She was also named to the Capital One Academic-All-District team and Capital One Third Team Academic All-American team for NCAA Division III Track and Field at the end of her 2013 season.

While at Walsh University, Mazzaferri worked with both cross country teams and the middle distance runners on the track

Mazzaferri is a native of Canton, Ohio and graduate of GlenOak High School, the University of Mount Union, and Walsh University.  As a Purple Raider, Emily graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in middle childhood education with minors in English and American studies.  Mazzaferri will be finishing out a Master’s of Education in School Counseling.
