The junior from Sandusky, Ohio got her career off of the right foot when she won the 300-meter dash at the Kenyon Indoor Kick Off Meet, the first meet of her career, back on 1/19/2008 ...  Placed sixth in the women's 55-meter dash at the 2008 OAC Indoor Track and Field Championships ... In the 2008 All-Ohio Division III Championships, Widman scored in both the 100-meter dash (fourth) and 200-meter dash (eighth) ... Three too-six finishes at the Jack Hazen (Malone) Invitational ... Member of the 4x200 relay team that set a school record of 1:50.76 at the 2009 OAC Indoor Championships ... Came to JCU from St. Mary Central Catholic High School, where she was the valedictorian of her senior class ... In high school, earned four top-eight finishes at the state track meet ... Was also a member of the cheerleading squad and cross country team in high school. all while being involved in SADD, Key Club, Student Council, Youth Group, Model U.N., National Honors Society as the treasurer, and was a class officer ...
