Maddie McDowell will be entering her second season with the John Carroll University volleyball program. She will be serving as the graduate assistant under head coach Michele Benoit.
Prior to her role as graduate assistant, McDowell spent four seasons on the Blue Streak roster. A key member of the team, she helped the Blue Streaks to four straight Ohio Athletic Conference tournament appearances, including the OAC championship match in the 2014 season.
The middle blocker placed in the top 20 in several program categories, including block assists (177, 8th), attack percentage (.240, 12th), blocks per set (0.7, 17th), total blocks (206, 18th), and single-season blocks (69, 9th).
McDowell is the daughter of Gregory and Jennifer and sister of senior Jarrod McDowell.
A 2017 graduate, McDowell earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
