Cam Timok enters his second season as an assistant coach on the JCU Men's Wrestling coaching staff in the 2024-25 academic year.
Timok joined the JCU coaching staff in August 2023. In his first season at JCU, Timok developed the program's recruiting and helped the Blue Streaks to notch a 5-4 dual record. Two Blue Streaks made it to the National Championships.
Timok arrived at JCU following a stint as a coach at West Liberty University, where he was a graduate student for two years. He was promoted to head assistant coach in his final season with the Hilltoppers after completing his master's degree.
The Richmond, Virginia native was a highly-decorated wrestler in his high school and college career. In 2013, Timok was crowned the Virginia state champion and finished his high school career with a 40-2 record. His success continued in college, finishing his wrestling career at Central College in Iowa with a 72-12 record. Timok concluded his career as a two-time NCAA Division III All-American in the 125 and 133 weight classes.
After graduating from Central College, Timok moved back to Virginia and was the assistant coach at Virginia Military Institute for one season, followed by his three-year stint at West Liberty. Timok helped lead the Hilltoppers to three successful seasons, which resulted in three Mountain East Conference Championships and NCAA Division II Super Region 3 Champion.
