Chris Poland enters his second season as Graduate Assistant with JCU Wrestling in the 2021-22 academic year.

In his first season, Poland helped the Blue Streaks navigate a shortened winter season amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Poland joined the JCU coaching staff after competing collegiately at Eastern Michigan University and Coker College in South Carolina. As the team's graduate assistant, Chris is responsible for day-to-day operations, including running in-season training sessions.  

A native of Michigan, Poland was a 4-time MHSAA State placewinner and a two-time Greco-Roman All-American.  Poland transferred to Coker College after Eastern Michigan dropped its wrestling program and was ranked nationally for the Cobras.
