Dan Mizener is entering his second year as a graduate assistant for John Carroll University.
As an undergrad, he studied Communications at John Carroll, graduating in May 2009 with a 3.38 GPA. Currently, he is pursuing his Master's degree in Business Administration.
While at JCU, Dan was a valuable member of the Wrestling team. With 84 career victories, Dan was a three-time OAC finalist. In 2009, he captured his first OAC title at 149 pounds and qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships. In addition, Dan was selected as a winner for the 2008-2009 Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference Men's At-Large team, which required an athlete to have at least a 3.25 cumulative grade point average. Dan was also an NWCA Division III National Scholar-Athlete, and a two-time Academic All-American.
In the future, Dan would like to continue his career in athletics with a position in athletic administration, or ultimately as a head coach in wrestling.
Mizener is originally from Mason, Ohio, and is a graduate of Mason High School.
