Dan Ralph enters his ninth year as an assistant coach for the John Carroll
wrestling team.

Since joining the Blue Streaks' staff, Ralph has assisted in producing over 40
OAC Placers, eight conference champions and four All-Americans.

"I truly believe we have a unique opportunity to grow as a team and be a part of
something special," said Ralph.

A former John Carroll wrestler, Ralph notched 27 wins as a freshman, won
the OAC tournament (2002-2003) at 141 pounds, earning his way to the NCAA
National Tournament. He also won the RIT Invitational and had undefeated
performances at the Budd Whitehill National Duals and the 2003 Cliff
Keen/NWCA National Duals, helping JCU earn eighth place.

Ralph was plagued by injuries as a sophomore, eventually taking a medical red
shirt. He entered his redshirt sophomore season ranked in the top-eight in
the Brute/Adidas preseason national rankings. High hopes for Ralph continued
until he suffered a career-ending neck injury.

A Bedford (OH) St. Peter Chanel product, he was a three-time state qualifier and a two-time state placer for the Firebirds.

Ralph's brother, Anthony, is an assistant wrestling coach at Notre Dame College.
