Quick Strikes Early On Propel Women's Soccer To Victory At Muskingum

Colleen Harmon and Rachel Grdina scored 70 seconds apart within the first eight minutes of the match to lead John Carroll to a 3-0 victory over Muskingum Saturday in New Concord, Ohio.

The win secured sole possession of third place for the Blue Streaks and set JCU up as the third seed in next week's Ohio Athletic Conference tournament. John Carroll will host #6 seed Heidelberg in an quarterfinal round match to be staged at Don Shula Stadium on Monday, November 2, at 2:00 p.m.

Harmon struck first on an assist from Harmon at the 6:28 mark of the first half, after which Harmon would score her marker 70 seconds later on a pass from Caitlyn Walton.

Elizabeth Daigler added insurance less than 11 minutes into the second half with the 16th goal of her career.

JCU outshot the Muskies, 21-6, and ended the regular season with an overall record of 8-9-2 overall and 6-2-1 in the OAC. Muskingum ends its year 4-15 overall and 0-9 in the OAC
