Andrew Fatigati's goal gave JCU an early 1-0 lead ... but it would not hold up
The John Carroll men's soccer team somehow found a way to put silver lining on a setback.
Even though a 2-1 loss at Baldwin-Wallace Wednesday night marked the third consecutive suffered by the Blue Streaks, by virtue of a Muskingum loss earlier in the day, John Carroll has qualified for its league record 18th appearance in the 19-year history of the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament.
Box Score
Andrew Fatigati put the Streaks on the board first with his second goal of the season in the 22nd minute, but the host Yellow Jackets would post a goal in the 28th minute to tie and in the 63rd to win the match.
John Carroll outshot Baldwin-Wallace by a slim 13-12 margin, including 9-6 in the second half.
The Blue Streaks fall to 10-8 overall and 4-4 in the OAC with the loss, while Baldwin-Wallace moves to 10-5-4 overall and 3-3-2 in league play.
