Patrick Levandowski picked up his first collegiate win Tuesday against Muskingum University

Several members of the John Carroll men's tennis team got an opportunity to move up a spot in the singles line-up Tuesday against Muskingum, and the resultproved positive with the Blue Streaks emerging an 8-1 victor.

JCU rolled through three doubles matches with its usual cadre of tandems. But when singles play was about to begin, regular #2 player Chad Ruehs was held out for precautionary reasons. That meant everyone behind him would slide up one place.
Michael Hulseman recorded his first singles win of the season with a commanding 6-0 6-4 triumph over Yash Lalawani. Ross Venzke at #3 and Matt Tomayko at #4 also responded with straight set victories.
Freshman Patrick Levandowski made the most of his chance with a rare appearance at #6 singles. In just his third career collegiate singles match, Levandowski produced his first career collegiate win with a grueling 6-7, 7-6, 1-0 (10-3) decision over Seth Holdsworth.
John Carroll is now 2-4 overall and 2-1 in the OAC, while Muskingum slips to 4-7 and 0-4 in league action.
