The Blue-Gold Club, the official booster organization of John Carroll University athletics, is now offering a secure online registration form as part of its 2010-2011 membership drive.

According to Jane Evans, Assistant Athletic Director for External Operations at John Carroll, the long-talked about process for streamlining membership applications became a reality thanks to interdepartmental collaboration.

"We worked extensively with University Marketing and Communications to come up with an online registration form that encapsulated both security and simplicity," said Evans. "We wanted a user-friendly program for the application that our alumni, parents and supporters would have no trouble completing, and give them peace of mind that all transactions would be done in a secure environment. Thanks to the work of everyone involved, we were able to accomplish this in time for this year's membership drive."  

Evans added that these efforts are not exclusive from the membership drive that blue-gold supporters have been part of since the club's inception in the early 1980's.

"This new online cabability is an enhancement to an already successful membership campaign," said Evans. "Past members should be aware they will still recieve the annual membership materials via the U.S. Mail from our Interim Blue-Gold Club President and Associate Athletic Director Gretchen Weitbrecht."

The online form can be accessed by clicking here, as well as by typing in the address www.jcusports.com/bluegold. There will also be a permanent link, displayed as the "online registration form" tab under the Blue-Gold Club heading on the main landing page of jcusports.com.

There will also be a printable version of the membership registration available at jcusports.com under the same Blue-Gold Club heading.
