Sean Graham picked up two of John Carroll's five wins in an OAC quarterfinal round victory over Capital
In Ohio Athletic Conference tournament play, the first team to reach five wins captures the match.
John Carroll needed the minimum five matches to reach that total Tuesday afternoon at the Paramount Tennis Club, as the #2 seeded Blue Streaks made quick work of #7 seed Capital with a 5-0 win.

With the victory, John Carroll advances to the semifinal round of the OAC Tournament, which will be held Friday at the Lindner Family tennis Center in Mason, Ohio. The Blue Streaks will play either #3 seed Otterbein or #6 seed Heidelberg at 4:30 p.m.
The doubles points were earned courtesy of
Ryan Mullaney and
Chad Ruehs at #1 (8-4), Mathieu Menard and
Sean Graham at #2 (8-2) and
Rico Certo and
Michael Hulseman at #3 (8-2).
Only two points were needed in singles play, and were earned by Certo and Graham. Certo closed out Chris Morris by a 6-1 6-0 score at #4 singles, after which Graham sealed the match at #5 with a 6-0 6-1 win over Mark Williams.
JCU is now 12-6 on the season after winning its eighth consecuticve dual meet, while Capital ends its campaign at 4-16.
