JCU Women's Soccer Gathering Steam As OAC Season Reaches Midway Point

Amanda Buxton had a pair of assists as part of John Carroll's win over Muskingum
Box Score Lurking somewhere between not peaking too early and not waiting too long to get going, the John Carroll women's soccer season seems to be gathering steam at just the right moment.

After a slow start in conference play, John Carroll reeled off its third consecutive league win and its third consecutive in convincing fashion with a 3-0 victory over Muskingum Saturday at Shula Stadium.

Nicki Bohrer ripped a pair of goals after Genny Goergen got things started with a goal in the 10th minute. Amanda Buxton, honored as part of senior day before the match, assisted on the first two goals.

It was a methodical effort by the Blue Streaks, who used a 27-5 shot advantage to fuel the offense.

Haley McDonald made four saves for her eighth shutout of the year.

John Carroll is now 8-5-1 overall and 3-1-1 (T-2nd) in the OAC, while Muskingum dropped to 4-9-1 overall and 0-4-1 in league play.
