Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 No one would fault John Carroll softball head coach Erin Brooks for rescheduling all her remaining home games to Orlando, Florida. Amazingly, it would not have anything to do with the weather.

Well, almost nothing to do with the weather.

For the second consecutve home date, Bracken Field proved to be little advantage for the JCU softball team is dropped a pair of games to Denison University, 3-1 and 7-5.

Box Scores:  Game One  Game Two

JCU is 13-3 away from home this season (9-1 in Florida) and 0-4 in its 'friendly confines".

Heather Hurley singled to right field, and after being bunted to second, scored when Lia Locey singled to left field.

The 1-0 lead stood for just a half inning, as Denison seized an opportunity when a two-out single and error allowed for Big red catcher meghan Edwards to score from first.

The Big Red then plated two runs with two out in the top of the seventh for the winning runs.

JCU managed just two hits as Kesley Hager outdueled John Carroll ace Brittant Danilov for the win. Danilov, who dropped to 8-4, allowed eight hits and struck out five while walking three.

Denison would then score six times over the next four innings to take a 6-1 lead through five-and-ahalf frames.

The Blue Streaks battled back with two runs in the bottom of the sixth and two more in the bottom of the seventh, but stranded three runners over those final two innings as the comeback bid fell short.
