As of a week ago, John Carroll was under the impression that its match against Capital would be played at home.
It turned out, however, that the match would be played in Columbus. Scheduling snafus aside, John Carroll made the most of its unexpected trip by rolling past the host Crusaders, 8-1.

Cassie Simmelink and
Erin Davies were involved in multiple victories. Simmelink won by a 6-1, 6-4 score over Elisabeth McLaughlin in her #1 singles match, which was earned shortly after pairing up with
Maria Ciccolini to win at #1 doubles, 8-1.
Davies and partner
Hannah Baumwell rolled to an 8-4 win at #2 doubles, after which Davies took out Michelle Guy at #3 singles, 6-0, 6-3.
John Carroll is now 6-3 overall and 1-1 in Ohio Athletic Conference play.
