Ryan Mullaney scored one team point and nearly had another in a match against undefeated Baldwin-Wallace
A runaway train known as the Baldwin-Wallace College men's tennis team rocketed through Shaker Heights Tuesday, and John Carroll could do little to derail it.
A spirited doubles session seemed to give some hope, but singles got away from the Blue Streaks as John Carroll became Baldwin-Wallace's 23rd consecutive victim in an 8-1 loss at Hathaway Brown School.

Rico Certo provided some early spark with an 8-4 win at #1 doubles against Alex Trzeciak and Alexandre Bourdiaux. But The Yellow Jackets won at #2 and #3, which was a closely fought 8-6 decision earned by Kyle Patterson and Taylor Long over
Eric Grimaldi and
Sean Graham.
The Blue Streaks could not produce the same results in singles as Baldwin-Wallace won five of the six maches in straight sets. Only Mullaney forced a third set breaker before falling to Trzeciak.
Baldwin-Wallace is now 23-0 and 8-0 in the OAC, while John Carroll falls to 5-11 and 3-4 in league play.
