John Carroll put an exclamation mark on its women's tennis regular season with an 8-1 victory over Heidelberg University Saturday afternoon at the Paramount Tennis Club in Medina, Ohio.

Box Score

The win was the Blue Streaks' seventh consecutive after a 5-3 start, and leaves JCU with a record of 12-3 overall and 7-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference. By virtue of posting wins in seven of their eight league matches, the Streaks will be the #2 seed in next week's conference postseason tournament.

Today's win was a complete team effort, with eight different players chiming in with a victory.

The doubles session provided three wins for John Carroll, with Hannah Baumwell and Erin Davies posting the lone shutout in the #3 match.

The Streaks then rolled to wins in five of the six singles matches. Maria Ciccolini, Cassie Simmelink, Joanne Weber, Emily Gorndt and Katelyn Hill all prevailed, with Hill surviving a tiebreaker to win in the #6 match.
