Men's Tennis Falls At Edinboro

Looking to end its fall season strong, the short-handed John Carroll University men's tennis team battled hard but fell to host Edinboro University on Saturday.

Jad Abdul-Aal continued to play well for the Blue Streaks. The sophomore picked up wins at No. 1 singles and doubles. Abdul-Aal downed Bruno Borja 6-4, 3-6, 10-8 in singles play and teamed up with Nick Siciliano to befeat Borja and Brandon Romain 8-4 in doubles play.

Siciliano fought hard at No. 2 singles winning the first set before falling 7-5, 0-6, 6-10.

Eric Grimaldi, Brett Peskin and Alex Messina all fell in two sets in spots three, four and five.

Grimaldi and Peskin were also bested in No. 2 doubles by Kody Duncn and Amir Talab 8-2.

The men's tennis team returns to action against Oberlin on March 15.
