So it was for the John Carroll men's swimming team Saturday at Defiance. The Blue Streaks won the first nine races en route to a 131-53 victory that marked JCU's first Ohio Athletic Conference triumph of the 2013-14 campaign.
Results
After an unopposed win in the 200 Medley Relay,
Anton Olson got things rolling in the 100 Free (11:42.53).
Corey Kehm followed with a 200 Free victory (1:55.19).
Nick Holvey won the first of his two races in the 50 Free (22.53). He later won the 100 Fly (55.27).
In perhaps the most exciting race of the day,
Jacob Crain rallied in the fly and the free to vercome a three-second deficit to win the 200 IM in 2:12.16, edging Defiance's Dylan Textor (2:12.74)
Kehm won the 100 Free (53.02),
David Sved won the 100 Back (58.83) and
Michael Ian Goggins won the 100 Breast (1:08.31).
Doug Hinchen grabbed first place finishes in both 1- and 3-meter diving.
