Women's Tennis Gets Some Much Needed Confidence With Win Over Muskingum

With a 9-0 sweep of Muskingum University in Shaker Heights, the John Carroll University women's tennis squad gained some much needed confidence on Wednesday afternoon.

In doubles competition, the Blue Streak women surrendered no more than four games in a set to the Muskies, led by the 8-2 domination of duo Tracy Gibson and Anna Stein in the #2 slot.

Singles play saw each team member win in straight sets, highlighted by 6-0, 6-0 performances from Emily Gorndt at #4 and Katelyn Hill at #6.

Also getting a boost of confidence was Anna Stein, who posted a 6-4, 6-4 victory at #1 singles for her first career triumph as a collegian.
 
JCU, now 4-9 overall and 2-3 in the OAC, will travel to Marietta for a conference matchup this Saturday, April 20.
