Ryan Mullaney and the Blue Streaks were on the verge of an upset in Columbus Monday
John Carroll may quickly become the team no one will want to draw early in the upcoming Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament.
The Blue Streaks fell Monday afternoon to league-leading Capital, but by the slimmest of margins. Using a 2-1 advantage in doubles play and splitting the singles matches, the host Crusaders prevailed by a 5-4 count in Bexley.

Ryan Mullaney and
Sean Graham produced the lone doubles point for JCU in doubles play, prevailing 8-6 in the #1 match.
In singles play, Mullaney won in three sets at #1 as did
Eric Grimaldi at #5.
Sean Graham triumphed in straight sets. All of Capital's wins were by straight sets in singles play.
Capital improved to 11-3 overall and 6-0 in the OAC, while the Blue Streaks fell to 4-11 and 3-4 in league play.
