Box Score The John Carroll University women's volleyball team knocked off its second unbeaten opponent in the course of a week starting the Purple Raider Classic with a four-set win over Kalamazoo College.
John Carroll took the match 25-15, 25-18, 21-25, 25-18 to improve to 6-5 while Kalamazoo College fell to 7-1.
Leah Switalski started off the weekend strong with 13 kills while hitting .393.
Teresa Noewer also played a big role in the offense with 11 kills. Jessica Kodrich had a solid match serving up five aces to go along with nine kills.
Sara Kaminski and
Kit O'Shaughnessy led the defense combining for 35 digs.
Nya Greenstone paced the Hornets with 11 kills but the Blue Streaks caused her to have 10 attack errors.
John Carroll will have a quick turnaround playing Bethany College at 12:30 p.m. and Alma College at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both matches will take place at Mount Union.
