Blue Streaks Roll Up Wins And Points To Knock Off Quakers In OAC Women's Swimming Dual

Ten wins in eleven events told the story for the John Carroll women's swimming team as the Blue Streaks rolled up points in bunches to knock off host Wilmington, 128-77, in an Ohio Athletic Conference dual meet Friday evening.

Results.

JCU started off strong with a win in the 200-meter medley relay as Margaret Zagrobelny, Lindsay Fano, Rachael Libertin and Tori Watson teamed up to win in a time of 1:52.28.

Katii Sheffield then began what turned out to be a highly productive night by winning the 800-meter free in 10:08.77. She would also win the 400 free in 4:51.36.

Libertin was a multiple winner as well, taking first in the 200 Free (2:19.74) and the 100 Fly (1:10.86).

Watson claimed first in two events as well, touching the wall ahead of the pack in the 50 Free (28.22) and the 100 Free (1:01.76). Fano did likewise in the 200 IM (2:35.65) and the 100 Breast (1:19.03).

The quartet of Amanda Casamatta, Lindsay Eddingfield, Ann Murphy and Sheffield won the 200 Free Relay in 2:00.21.

With the win, John Carroll improves to 3-4 overall and 2-2 in the OAC.
