The women's tennis team swept Muskingum to open league play.

In search of a strong start to OAC play, the John Carroll University women's tennis team opened up conference play with a dominating 9-0 win over host Muskingum on Saturday morning in New Concord, Ohio.
The Blue and Gold cruised to three double victories with the duo of
Katherine Devine and
Catherine Engel and
Anna Stein and
Tracy Gibson not dropping a single game to take the 8-0 wins.
Katelyn Hill and Josephine Miller only dropped one game in their 8-1 win.
The domination continued in singles play as Engel (first singles), Gibson (fourth singles) and Hill (sixth singles) posted 6-0, 6-0 wins.
Devine nearly escaped with a clean slate besting Muskingum's Autumn Nelson 6-1, 6-0 to pick up her team-leading eighth singles win of the season.
Rounding out the singles matches were Miller (6-2, 6-2,) and Stein (6-1, 6-4).
John Carroll improved to 5-6, 1-0 on the year while Muskingum fell to 1-2, 0-1.
The women's tennis team host Wilmington on Saturday, March 29.
