Fourth-seeded John Carroll faced a tough draw in the OAC Tournament with fifth-seeded Ohio Northern. John Carroll utilized key wins at Nos. 5 and 6 singles to takes a 5-4 win in Ada during the regular season.
 
The Polar Bears avenged their loss taking a 5-2 win at the Western Reserve Racquet and Fitness Center in Streetsboro, Ohio on Wednesday evening to advance to this weekend's semifinals at the Linder Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio.
 
John Carroll's freshmen doubles duo of Jad Abdul-Aal and Nick Siciliano raced out to an 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles. The pairing finished the season with a 16-1 doubles record.
 
Siciliano's success continued over to singles play. After dropping the first set 1-6, the Broadview Hts., Ohio native fought back with 6-1, 6-3 scores in the second and third set to take the match.
 
With the match ending once a team reaches five points, Ohio Northern picked up points at Nos. 1 and 3 doubles and Nos. 2, 3 and 5 singles.
 
Abdual-Aal was up 6-3, 6-7, 4-1 unf. when play was halted. He finished the year with a 14-4 mark in singles play all at the No. 1 position.
 
John Carroll finished with a record of 9-10.
