The John Carroll University wrestling team led early but could not close out host Baldwin Wallace falling 25-18 on Tuesday evening in Berea, Ohio.

The Blue Streaks picked up back-to-back falls from Tom McNulty at 157 points and
Terner Gott at 165 pounds. McNulty needed just 2:30 to record his fall while Gott recorded his at the 6:21 mark.

For McNulty, the win marked his 40th of his career while the sophomore picked up his eighth pin of the season. Gott's win ran the senior's record on the year to 23-0. Gott is ranked fourth nationally at 165 pounds in the latest NWCA individual rankings released last week.

Sal Corrao and
Dan Mirman also picked up wins for the Blue and Gold. Corrao took a 6-1 decision over Baldwin Wallace's Markus Cruz. Mirman improved his resume to 13-1 on the year with a 9-4 decision.
John Carroll fell to 5-6, 0-1 OAC in duals while Baldwin Wallace improved 11-4, 1-0 OAC in duals.

The JCU wrestling team returns to action next Tuesday, Jan. 27 at Heidelberg. The dual is slated to begin at 7:30 p.m.
