The John Carroll women's swimming and diving squad lost six events by less than a second, as Ohio Northern squeezed out a 152-147 victory in Ada, Ohio on Saturday afternoon.

The Blue and Gold started off the meet well.

Anne Crowley, and
Amanda Casamatta combined to secure first place with a time of 4:06.05 in the 400 Medley Relay, the first event of the day.
Fano won two other events individually. The senior stole the top spot in both the 100 Breaststroke (1:08.62) and 200 Breaststroke (2:29.59).
Fellow senior
Jane Verdi followed suit with a victory of her own in the 500 Free with a time of 5:39.33.
Anne Crowley also collected a win in the 100 Butterfly. The sophomore secured the event by a significant margin with a mark of 5:39.33.
In the diving competitions,
Sam Clark dominated her opponents. The senior won the 1-meter dive with a score of 142, and then the 3-meter dive with a score of 160.95.
The Blue Streaks now receive a two-week respite, as the Blue and Gold will compete next on November 14 in an away meet at Ohio Wesleyan.Â
