For the fifth time in the last eleven years, the John Carroll women's cross country team placed in the top two of the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships.
For the fourth of those five times, it was in the runner-up position.
Otterbein claimed the team title Saturday morning at Wallace Lake in the Mill Stream Reservation of the Cleveland Metroparks located in Berea, Ohio. The Cardinals scored 40 points to fend off John Carroll (53), Mount Union (66) and Ohio Northern (78). Heidelberg was a distant fifth with 162 points.

Rohwer and Schasia Modrzynski, both of whom were top nine finishers. Rohwer, who is now a three-time first team all-conference performer, had her best OAC finish by placing third in a time of 22.19.5. Rohwer was fourth in 2014 and fifth in 2013.
Modrzynski stepped up froma  second team All-OAC effort last season to first team this year by finishing in eighth place in a time of 22:51.1.
Three Blue Streaks ran their way into second team All-OAC honors on the 6,000-meter course. Erin Kiley was 13th in 23:04.0, followed by Hanna Sterle in 14th (23:04.4) and Ang Bucci in 16th (23:09.3). All three were first time all-conference honorees, with Sterle and Bucci accomplishing the feat as seniors.
John Carroll won the OAC title in 2013, and the 2015 runner-up finish is the fourth in the last eleven years joining the efforts in 2005, 2009 and 2011.
