The John Carroll University women's tennis team punched its sixth-straight ticket to the OAC Tournament semifinals with a 5-0 shutout over Heidelberg on Wednesday afternoon at Ursuline College in Pepper Pike, Ohio.

With the win second-seeded John Carroll will play the winner of the quarterfinal matchup between Mount Union and Marietta on Friday, May 1 at 4:30 p.m. at the Linder Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio.

John Carroll clinched the match with two singles wins from the back-end of its lineup.
Tracy Gibson cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 5 singles while
Natalie Bourlas won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 6.

The Blue Streaks jumped out to a 3-0 lead at the end of doubles competition. Gibson and
Katherine Devine rolled to their third-straight 8-0 doubles win.
Catherine Engel and
Jennifer Stroyne won 8-1 at No. 2. Sisters
Nicolette Bourlas and
Natalie Bourlas would win 8-4 at No. 1.

John Carroll was ahead in each of the four unfinished singles matches. In postseason play the teams stop the match once one team reaches five points.
