Box Score The spring season has started well for the John Carroll women's tennis team.

Now ranked #20 in the ITA Central Region rankings, the Blue Streaks got a chance to but that status on the line late Fridayat the Westwood Racquet Club in Erie, Pennsylvania.

With an all around impressive performance in which it did not drop a set, John Carroll rolled to a 9-0 victory over host Allegheny College.

After a doubles session sweep, JCU rolled to six straight wins in singles. Lauren O'Malley (#12 in the region as a singles player) won by a 6-2 6-1 count over Andrea Brush at #1 singles. Nicollette Bourlas, Catherine Engel, Madisyn Rini,Katherine Devine and Molly Traverso also posted wins.

The victory propelled the Blue Streaks to a 2-0 record in dual matches this season, which also included fall contests.
