A special weekend full of broken records has carried into a celebratory Monday for the John Carroll University men's indoor track and field squad.

Will Cameron has been named OAC Athlete of the Week following a big weekend for the Blue Streaks.

The senior captured first in the 800-meter run with a school-record time of 1:54.42 at the Buckeye Tune-Up, one of many impressive performances over the weekend.

The Toledo native also broke another school record in the 400-meter race, finishing 12th with a mark of 49.56 at the Kent State Tune-Up.

The two new school records, set on consecutive days on different tracks, led to Cameron's first OAC Athlete of the Week honor for indoor track and field. 

Cameron joins Matt Andrews as John Carroll winners of the conference weekly award this indoor season.
