Box Score John Carroll got the best of Ohio Northern by a slim 5-4 decision in the quarterfinal round of the 2010 Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament.
Until today, that had been the last recorded victory by the Blue Streaks over the Polar Bears. Six years and nine matches ago, including three tournament eliminations and twice in the league final.
That long period of frustration ended emphatically Saturday afternoon at the Western Reserve Raquet Club as JCU bested Ohio Northern, 7-2. The victory by John Carroll snapped the Polar Bears' 13-match winning streak in OAC regular season matches dating back to the 2014 campaign.
