John Carroll women's track & field finished seventh in the 2015 Ohio Athletic Conference Championships, and appear poised to take the next step towards challenging the top of the conference.
John Carroll has multiple top-seeding positions in the 2016 Outdoor Championships, held Friday and Saturday, April 29-30 at Williams Stadium at Wilmington College.

Top-three finishers in each event will earn All-OAC honors.
Schasia Modrzynski is the top seed in the 10,000-meter run, marking her first outdoor championship berth in the event.
Martha Bill (43:14.06) is fifth in the 10,000; she was a seventh-place finisher last season.
Modrzynski is also third in the 5,000-meter (18:15.72) after finishing sixth last year.
Erin Kiley is right behind as the fourth seed at 18:16.30.
Hanna Sterle is set up in ninth (18:45.08). Modrzynski looks to capitalize after being the top distance runner at the indoor championships with victories in the 3,000 and 5,000-meter runs.
Emily Jenkins flies into the second seed in the 100-meter dash off the heels of a 12.45 in the Sparky Adams Invitational. Jenkins is looking to earn her second OAC Championship of the year, following a 60-meter indoor win.
Nicole Pilewski is the second seed in the javelin. The freshman has excelled this year, with her best qualifying mark of 35.47m coming at the Adidas Winthrop University Invitational. Pilewski has recorded seven top-ten finishes this season.
A trio of Blue Streaks are in the top-seven for the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Sophomore

Christine Smith (11:53.89) are fifth, sixth and seventh respectively.
In the discus,
Alexis Johnson made the most of her first campaign. The freshman is the fifth seed, following a 37.64 meter throw at the Dave Labor Invitational.
In the 100-meter hurdles,
Sara Martinko's 15.59 at the Sparky Adams preliminaries placed her in the sixth spot. Martinko is fifth in the 400-meter hurdles at 1:08.33.
Alainna Schmidt (1:08.62) is right behind her at sixth. The third Blue Streak in the event, Jessica Swisher, is seeded ninth.
In the 400-meter dash,
Ashura Powell is also sixth, with her time of 59.24.
Noelle Saluan (1:00.13) is eighth in the same event.
