It was a tough night all around for John Carroll as even luck seemed against the Blue Streaks in a three-set loss to Otterbein.

Caitlin Cianciolo, who began the night needing 23 digs to reach 1,000 for her career, to an unspecified injury after game one. She picked up six before leaving the match.
After dropping the second game by a ten-point margin, the Blue Streaks dug in for a competitive third. At one juncture, the Blue Streaks held a 21-20 lead. But a few unlucky breaks went against the host team, and Otterbein prevailed 25-22 by winning four of the last five points.
Sarah Calabrese had a solid night once again with 15 kills and six digs. This is the eight time in the last ten matches that Calabrese has reached double figures in kills.
Otterbein improves to 22-3 overall and 5-1 in the OAC with the win, and snapped a three-game losing skid at the hands of the Blue Streaks. John Carroll drops to 5-22 overall and 1-5 in league play.
