This was assured when the Blue Streaks blanked Heidelberg, 9-0, in Tiffin Tuesday afternoon.

The victory moved JCU to 11-9 overall, but more importantly to 7-0 in conference dual meets. Their undefeated mark, which includes an 8-1 win over second place Ohio Northern, puts the Blue Streaks one win away from a second consecutive outright OAC regular season crown.
Lauren O'Malley and
Madisyn Rini posted an 8-0 win at #1 doubles, whileÂ
Ellie Cole and
Carlye Campagna rolled by the same score at #3 doubles. The sister tandem of
Nicolette Bourlas and
Natalie Bourlas won by an 8-2 score at #2 doubles.
Ahead 3-0, JCU cruised to straight set wins in all six singles matches. O'Malley at #1,
Jennifer Stroyne at #5 and
Molly Traverso at #6 were 6-0 6-0 winners.
JCU has now won 17 consecutive regular season league matches dating back to Blue Streaks last loss -- a 6-3 setback against Ohio Northern on April 17, 2015.
