There have been a few seasons in the past where John Carroll has rallied to make the OAC Tournament.
2018 may need that kind of rally.
For the second consecutive match, John Carroll faced a first place team that was undefeated in Ohio Athletic Conference play. Â Unfortunately for the Blue Streaks the result was similar as host Ohio Northern delivered a 3-0 defeat in Ada, Ohio.
The Polar Bears were only ahead 1-0 at the half, but scored twice in the second to put the match out of reach. ONU outshot John Carroll, 28-3.
The Blue Streaks are now 4-9-1 overall and 1-4-0 in the OAC (T-6th, 3 pts). Â The top six teams in the league make the OAC Tournament, and the Blue Streaks quest to make the postseason for a 12th consecutive year will hinge on the outcome of the next four matches. Â Three of those matches are against teams that are currently tied with the Blue Streaks. The first of those is at Baldwin Wallace on Tuesday, October 16th.
