Using a sweep of doubles as the catapult, the Blue Streaks defeated the College of Wooster, 7-2, Saturday afternoon at the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion in Cleveland, Ohio.

Gustavo Garcia and
Dillon O'Brien won a pivotal doubles match at #1 by grinding out a 9-7 win over Joaquin Abos Amo and Nathan Devereux. Andrew Siciliano and
Adi Jha also provided a nice win by claiming an 8-6 decision at #2 doubles.
Tyler Cole and
Parker Holyn were the only ones who did not have to sweat out a close match, prevailing 8-3 at #3 doubles.Â
Without
David Sinense, everyone played up a spot from two singles on, and the Blue Streaks still gathered for wins. Cole was impressive in a 6-2 6-1 victory at #2 singles, as was Siciliano at #3 singles by a 6-7m 6-1, 11-9 score.
O'Brien and
Scott Adsit picked up wins at #5 and #6 for JCU. O'Brien cruised 6-2 6-2, while Adsit fought for every point of a 6-7, 6-0, 10-5 victory.
JCU is now 1-2 in dual meets this season. Wooster, which just beat Mount Union 9-0, falls to 4-2.
